Air Arabia cancels flights to Russia

Air Arabia cancels flights to Russia until June 20

Amid the escalating situation in the Middle East, Air Arabia has cancelled all flights to Russia until June 20 inclusive, the company’s website reports.

The carrier’s flights to Jordan have been suspended until the same date. In addition, it will not fly to Lebanon until June 17, and to Iraq and Iran until June 30.

Earlier, citing the Federal Air Transport Agency, it was reported that Air Arabia could resume flights to Russia from Monday, June 16.

The flights from the UAE were primarily planned to transport tourists whose flights were scheduled to take place in the previous days.

The cancellations and delays of flights to and through the UAE are related to the escalation of the conflict between Iran and Israel, which led to the closure of some airports and restrictions on airspace. According to the Russian Union of Travel Industry, the situation affected about 10 thousand Russian tourists.
